Provide a Superb Educational Reference to Help Improve Client Compliance
- Recognizing that client education plays a key role in ensuring pet owner compliance with prevention and treatment recommendations, Pfizer Animal Health asked Gloyd Group to develop a tool that practitioners can use to educate pet owners about parasites affecting their dogs and cats.
- The additional goal was to support the launch of its new parasiticide, Revolution®.
Gloyd Group built on the client’s original concept with a new and unique format for the Pfizer Atlas of Veterinary Clinical Parasitology.
- In addition to high-quality medical illustrations of the parasites, the Atlas included parasite life cycle diagrams that clearly illustrated how and why different intervention strategies work, and the damage parasites can do if left untreated.
- Gloyd Group selected award-winning medical illustrators Allison and Gene Wright and two leading experts in veterinary parasitology, Drs. Byron Blagburn and Michael Dryden, to
consult about content.
- Gloyd Group facilitated the collaboration between authors, illustrators, and the client and then managed the project—from supervising the illustrations to exploring print options, developing the copy, creating the design and layout, and delivering the printed volumes.
The Pfizer Atlas of Veterinary Clinical Parasitology
Set a New Standard for Quality in Veterinary Client Education Resources.
- Increased knowledge of parasites that affect pets—and their treatment—has, in turn, contributed to the growth and success of Pfizer’s product, Revolution®.
- After the success of the first Atlas, Gloyd Group was asked to create two additional atlases: The Pfizer Atlas of Common Painful Clinical Conditions in 2003 and the Pfizer Atlas of Infection in Dogs and Cats in 2008.
- All three atlases have won prestigious awards in the field of medical illustration.
- Beautifully printed on durable laminated stock, the Atlases have proven to be virtually indestructible after years of use in clinic exam rooms worldwide and have been reprinted several times to meet the demand.
